WiFi Off, Attitude On
She conquers brunch, gets into airplane mode, and ghosts her way to peace. Offline is the new luxury.
After 110 calls, 50 emails, and one retail ops chaos in Africa, she’s still standing — in jean shorts and a crop tee. Offline is the new luxury.
Saturday Night: Strategy in Shorts, Emails in Eyeliner
I’m barefoot, in denim shorts and a crop tee that says “Not Your Plan B,” sipping lemon water like it’s champagne, and closing the loop on a Retail Operations Head’s career repositioning across two continents.
The air is thick with WhatsApp pings, follow-up emails, and unsolicited Excel sheets. But I’m unfazed. Because when you’ve fielded 110 calls and 50 emails in one day - in humidity, in heat, and in high-functioning silence - nothing shocks you.
Not even a 12th-hour crisis from Nairobi.
I don’t need a corner office. I’ve got a kitchen counter, a vision, and WiFi stronger than some people’s character. And while others glam up for night-outs, I wrap up CV blueprints with the precision of a woman who’s been tired since 2019.
Sunday? I’m Gone.
Not on leave. Not on vacation. On detox.
A kind of sacred silence where the only buzz I need is from my face roller, and the only meeting I’ll attend is between me and my ceiling fan.
No texts unless it’s breakfast in bed. No pings unless it’s therapy. No thoughts unless they come in latte art.
Because offline isn’t escape. It’s curation.
So if you’re wondering...
Yes, I’m building global careers in a crop tee and yesterday’s mascara.
Yes, I’m smarter than your strategy deck.
And yes - I’ll respond to your email... on Monday. Maybe.
